Ceremony Setup Taken With My iPhone

The ceremony took place outside on the Lawn overlooking  ”The Ritz Tiburon Golf Course”. Guests began taking their seats at 6:15PM and the processional began at 6:30 pm. We provided sound reinforcement for everyone while “A Touch Of Class” String Quartet provided the music for the ceremony. Pastor Jim Kirk with Moorings Presbyterian Church was the Officiate and did a beautiful job.  When the ceremony ended the guests attended a cocktail reception held on the  Terrace overlooking the ceremony site as the wedding party was taking pictures.  Tonya Malay and her assistant Emma of Tonya Malay Photography were the photographers for the evening and did an awesome job as always staying on schedule.  I will be updating this blog with some of Tanya’s pictures over the next few days.  The photo to the right was taken with my iPhone and appears only temporarily until I get Tonya’s photos.

At 8:00 pm guests were invited to the Tiburon Ballroom for the wedding reception.  The ballroom was beautifully decorated in style with sheer white paneling highlighted with purple uplighting creating a very warm and inviting atmosphere for dining.  The white dance floor provided plenty of room for the more than 160 guests to party and have fun.  White leather couches along with purple glow tables on both sides of the dance floor provided a bit of a lounge feel when the guests were not dancing (which was hardly ever).  They were a partying group and had an awesome time as you can see in the video below.  Thank you Kyle & Courtney for having us for your wedding celebration.  This was truly a “Fun Wedding Of Elegance & Style”!

Kali & Luke Just Married

Luke & Kali Choose a Reliant K Song “Must Of Done Something Right”For Their Recessional!

Luke & Kali shared their love for one another with 110 family members and friends at Legends country club in Fort Myers last weekend. A beautiful ceremony was performed outdoors in the courtyard by Pastor Cary Robinson. When they were pronounced man & wife they chose an upbeat recessional song called “Must of done something right” by Reliant K and danced their way out to the greens for some pictures with photographers Jamie & Brian Duffy of Jamie Lee Photography. I recently received a few pictures for this blog courtesy of Jamie and they are absolutely awesome!

The ceremony was held in the ballroom of Legends Country Club with pink Uplighting provided by A Dj With Class. As I visited tables during dinner, everyone was talking about how delicious the dinner was prepared and served by Kim Disotell and her staff. After dinner the bride and her dad shared a dance together to the classic “Daddy’s Little Girl” sung by Michael Buble. However part way through the song it quickly changed to the infamous “Chicken Dance” and DJ/MC Jim Dalia of A Dj With Class got everyone on the floor to dance the chicken with the bride & her dad.

On May 29, 2011 Jodi & Jacob along with 100 of their closest family and friends celebrated their wedding at Marina Village in Cape Coral. Dr. Dan Lamey did an awesome job as their officiant as you can see in the clip above. We provided the sound reinforcement for the ceremony while Vivian and Seaside Strings provided the music. The bride wanted live classical music and accompaniment for her younger brother Tony who sang two songs for her. He did a great job and many a tear was shed as the ceremony was beautiful. Although it was a windy & cloudy day and after a short delay Jodi got the ceremony she had been waiting so long for.

After the ceremony the guests all gathered inside for the cocktail party while photographer Jennifer Angelo took the formal pictures. Once she finished the bride & groom’s pictures, the guests were invited into the beautifully uplit Grandville Ballroom where they got situated for the wedding parties “Grand Entrance”. The guests all cheered when the bride, groom and their wedding party crashed through banners as they were announced in true “NFL” style. The Football theme Grand Entrance was choreographed by A DJ With Class JIm Dalia and the guests loved it. After the bride & groom danced their first dance in true ballroom style everyone sat for a wonderful plated dinner prepared by Tosha Wollney and the staff of Marina Village Resort. Everyone had a great time and especially Jodi & Jacob! Unfortunately, the video below is raw footage from my older video camera and does not reflect the true color.

When someone mentions video at weddings,  the first thing that comes to most peoples mind is a slide show or photo montage.  While montages and slide shows are a great way to share memories,  there are several other ways to incorporate multimedia (video, lighting & music) in your event.  Since 1994 we have been using audio, video and lighting to enhance many of our wedding receptions.

Bride & Groom's First Dance With Video

We can take it a step further by using our recording hotline feature and still pictures,  simulcasting your traditional events live on our screen,  playing music video’s of your favorite artists just like you see on MTV and VH1 and projecting your guests as they dance on our large screen TV.  Your guests will love watching themselves and others on the dance floor with them broadcast over our beautiful Large Screen LED TV.  We were the first to offer this form of reception entertainment over 15 years ago are pleased to offer it to any couple looking for something different and more exciting.

On May 6, 2011 Diana & Steve tied the knot at beautiful Pink Shell Resort on Fort Myers Beach. Not even rain showers could keep the two Cape Coral Fire Department workers from reciting their vows before the 115 plus family and friends who attended the ceremony on the beach. Officiate Paul Mielke performed a nice ceremony after a slight delay due to light rain showers. After the ceremony the guests attended a cocktail reception in the courtyard below the Captiva Ballroom and finally Dinner & Dancing upstairs in the ballroom.

Green Uplights Pink Shell

A Dj With Class also provided the Green Uplighting as seen in the photo here and in the video below. The green uplights over the blue drapes in the ballroom contrasted nicely and made the room even more inviting since the Bride’s wedding colors were light blue and green.

There were some Kodak moments caught by Tiffany & Emily of Impression Photography such as the when the Bride & Groom cut their cake.  The Groom cut the cake in “True Fireman Style” with a Full Size Axe. In my 29 years as a Dj and having performed countless wedding receptions this was a first!  Pictures will follow as soon as I receive them from Impressions Photography. The Bride Diana looked stunning in her wedding dress purchased at “Loretta’s Bridal” in Naples. As always Dony Lubig and the staff of The Pink Shell Resort did an awesome job! Several guest’s commented on the food, service and the attentiveness of the staff.

Cove Beach

On February 19, 2011 I had the pleasure of serving as Ellen & Mike’s DJ and Master Of Ceremonies at the Sanibel Harbour Resort in Sanibel Island, FL. Both the ceremony & reception took place on the property.  The couple invited 65 of their closest family and friends to attend and be part of their special day beginning with the ceremony on “Cove Beach” and finishing with an awesome reception in The Island Banquet Room that overlooks the Harbor.  It was a perfect day for a wedding.  The sun was shining as you can see in the pictures courtesy of photographer Alison Beyers: http://alisonbeyerphotography.com/

The ceremony began at 5:00 PM and was a bit emotional for the Brides brother Louis.  He shed a few tears as he waited to escort the bride to Cove Beach  where the groom Mike was waiting with Officiate Reverend Dr. Dan Lamey.  Some video highlights from the ceremony are shown below.  Dr. Dan Lamey did a beautiful job as officiate.

Ellen & Mike's First Dance

The cocktail reception took place on the balcony outside the Island Room while the Bride & Groom and the wedding party took pictures on the beach.  When they were finished with pictures everyone was invited into the Island Ballroom for the reception where they partied hard for 5 hours.  At midnight the Bride & Groom danced to the same song they chose for their recessional song.  A classic from Etta James “At last”!

Military Officers Shon & Ana

Between caring for her 2-year-old and studying for exams to move up in rank, Capt. Ana Bosher, 36, didn’t have a lot of downtime to scour florists and flip through bridal magazines.

To ease the planning and financial burdens, the local nonprofit Operation Open Arms stepped in to give Bosher and her beau, Chief Warrant Officer 4 Shon Thompson, 40, the beach wedding they’d always envisioned.

Red, pink and yellow rose petals dotted the sugary sand behind Pink Shell Resort & Spa on Fort Myers Beach on Saturday. Thompson wiped away tears as he stood under the altar in his navy blue dress uniform. Bosher walked the aisle in a flowing gown while Rascal Flatts’ “I Won’t Let Go” blared from speakers.

Pink Shell sales manager Dony Lubig watched the nuptials, which included donated services by Army veteran and DJ Jim Dalia ( A Dj With Class ) and Chaplain Larry Ager (Officiate), also a vet.

“We wanted to say thank you to our armed forces and all the sacrifices they make,” said Lubig, whose resort gave the newlyweds a room for the night.

If it hadn’t been for Operation Open Arms, the Fort Rucker, Ala. couple said they would’ve uttered their vows at the courthouse.

“We purposely held out because that’s not how we wanted to start our lives with two families coming together,” said Thompson, whose three teenagers served as bridesmaid and groomsmen.

Operation Open Arms paid about $1,000 for the affair, and rallied most vendors to volunteer their time and services, including the photographer, hair stylist and limo driver. The nonprofit provided a barbecue dinner reception at the VFW and is sending the couple on a one-day honeymoon to Jensen’s Twin Palm Resort and Marina on Captiva.

It marked the group’s 80th wedding since its inception in 2005. Capt. John “GiddyUp” Bunch, founder, said Operation Open Arms provides military supporters an easy way to show appreciation.

“It’s a way to give back and say thanks to our country and not have it hurt you financially,” he said.

On Monday, Operation Open Arms will receive the Seven Seals Award, the highest honor bestowed by the Department of Defense’s Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve.  Thank you to the New-Press for shooting such great pictures and covering this story.
