The Success Of Your Wedding Event Is Directly Related To The Amount You Spend On Your Entertainment!
When asked; 81% of guests say the thing they remember most about a wedding is
“The Entertainment”.
Hiring a DJ for a wedding is one of the most important decisions a Bride & Groom will make. Whether you look in the local phone book, on the internet, or at well known wedding sites such as Wedding Wire, The Wedding Channel, and The Knot you will find many companies with prices ranging from as low as $600 and up as high as $2,500. The average seems to be in the $1,200 – $1,500 area for professionals with years of experience.
As with any product or service the old adage “You Get What You Pay For” is more appropriate today than ever before. Just because someone owns a computer or an Ipod does not qualify them as a DJ, just as owning a nice digital camera does not make someone a Photographer.
So How Much Should I Pay And What Should I Look For
When Hiring A DJ For My Wedding?
DJ/Entertainment rates vary based upon talent, experience, emcee ability, service, coordination, equipment needed, music knowledge, mixing ability, and personality. If you we’re to provide two Dj’s with identical receptions, the two would have different outcomes based on the experience, style and personality of the DJ. The timing or delivery of a song as an example will always be different. Personality & Style are important factors that cannot easily be determined by a phone call.
A full-service DJ/Entertainment company will normally invest 12 to 30 hours to your special event but it may appear that you are only paying for “4 hours”. Consultations, music purchasing & editing, preparation, set-up and tear-down, education and other business related endeavors add up to the overall success of your special occasion.
That being said, it’s easy to understand why so many of the couples today are confused and getting a lot of misguided information. There are a lot of DJ’s out there doing a poor job at weddings due to lack of experience or the fact they are just in it for a quick buck!
Before you make the decision to hire a DJ for your special day,
Here are a few things to consider before signing any contract:
- Will the DJ Company meet with you to discuss your ideas and help you in the planning process? This is important as it gives you a feeling of comfortability and helps you determine whether or not they are a fit. It is your day and the reception should be built around your personality and tastes.
- Will they co-ordinate and Emcee the entire event?
- Do they provide an itinerary approved by you for other members to follow? (photographer, banquet manager, videographer)
- Do they have a website with the ability to contact you, complete planning forms, build time lines, listen to and choose their music etc?
- Do they have a demonstration video of various weddings performed in recent years?
- Will they be the one performing at the reception or will they be sending a representative?
- How long have they been performing wedding receptions?
- Do they have references that you can contact?
- Do they carry back-up equipment in case of any failure or malfunction?
- Ask what they can do to make your reception memorable & fun?
- Does their price include Dance Floor Lighting or is it an option?
- What is included in the price? How much actual performance time do you get?
- Are they willing to play overtime and what is the rate?
- What other upgrades do they offer such as: photo montages to music, Ceremony music & sound production, bubble and / or fog machines, video screen & projector?
- Do you book more than one event per day?
These are just a few of the questions you should ask any company you are considering placing your trust in for your special day. A professional DJ does more than just play music especially when it comes to wedding receptions. Proper planning and organization on the part of the DJ are key factors in the success of any event especially weddings.
OUR PRICING:
Our pricing is determined by several factors: The type of event (formal wedding versus an informal birthday party), the length of time for your event, how much planning time we are involved in, size of your event, the venue where it will be held, and will there be a need for more than one sound system as in the case of weddings. If we will be performing the wedding ceremony and reception we set-up separate systems for the ceremony & reception. This requires more time and eliminates the need for moving, setting up and tearing down equipment with guests present. These are just some of the factors we consider when providing pricing. For More Information On Our Competitive and Affordable Packages, Please call Us At (239) 872-3648 (we do not make our pricing public for competitive reasons)

During this session we will also discuss the level of interaction you want from us and the time line for scheduling of all of your events, music to be played, the type of group or interactive activities you want for your guests etc. ( CALL FOR PRICING INFORMATION)
